It may be swelteringly hot, but BICAS and Living Street Alliance are hosting two events this week to cool you off.

The first is BICAS’ Hottest Day of Year ride and while the 105 degrees forecasted won’t hit last weekends 115, it’ll still be hot enough to enjoy to cool treats BICAS has planned.

Here’s what they say about the event:

Join us THIS SATURDAY on our 3rd annual “Hottest Day of the Year Ride” BBQ and Pool Party! An easy-paced benefit ride for those of us who brave the scorching Tucson summers, with fun stops to cool down and mingle. The ride ends at Menlo Park where participants will enjoy a family-style BBQ and take a refreshing dip in the pool. Quickly becoming one of Tucson most-anticipated summertime shindigs!

Registration Includes:
– Lunch at the park (Sonoran dogs & vegan/GF options)
– Dragoon beer (and/or alcohol-free drinks)
– Cold water and snacks along the route
– Entry into the pool (there’s a water slide!)
*Registration Fees: $25/adult; $50/family; $15/youth
**Sign up early! (Add $10 late fee for event day registration)

Gather at BICAS at 8:30 to prep for the ride. Check out the rest of the details and register for the ride here.

Then, head to Tap and Bottle to celebrate Living Streets Alliance’s 5th birthday.

Here are the details:

This spring, LSA turned five and we’re finally getting around to celebrating. Because parties are way more fun when they’re with our friends, we’re teaming up with Tap & Bottle and Exo Roast Co. to throw a mid-summer fiesta in celebration of birthdays, beer, brew, and bikes. On Saturday, June 25th, a whole slew of events, activities, live music and more will take place at these two lovely establishments down the street from our office. Even better: a portion of all proceeds will go to support the work of LSA!
