After the ride through the city, Flax met Pima County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry for a ride along the Loop. They started at Brandi Fenton park and rode along the Rillito River to Craycroft Road and back.

Flax said he was impressed with what he saw.

“The day before the event is all about connecting with Tucson’s cycling community,” Flax said. “I got to see the incredible infrastructure in Tucson. As someone who travels all around the country and rides I’m really impressed with what I saw. There is a really friendly and constructive vibe to what is happening in the cycling infrastructure and community here. It was really enlightening and fun for me to check it out.”

  1. Sounds great. But too bad Flax couldn’t be here for another day so he could ride the Loop!
