Mark your calendars for one of the most fun cycling events in the Old Pueblo.

EL Grupo’s 7th Annual Alley Cat Bicycle Scavenger Hunt will take place on Oct. 30 at 10 a.m.

This year’s hunt is called, “The Headless Hunt.”

Here are the details from the release:

Test your knowledge of the Old Pueblo in the 7th Annual Alley Cat Bike Scavenger Hunt on October 30th, 2010. The fun, family-friendly event will start at 10am at the El Grupo Clubhouse. You bring your bike. We will give you a map. On the back you will have 10 riddles to solve and 10 objects to find. You’ll ride within a 2-mile radius of downtown searching for the objects, and enjoying the fall weather with friends. With all of the objects in hand, you will have a project to finish. Come one and all, old and young, happy and tall, prizes for everyone. Halloween Costumes Encouraged! Refreshments by The Cereal Boxx and entertainment to follow. Plus, one sweet raffle including a bike from REI, and other prizes from Zoom Juice, Yoga Oasis and more.

$10 entry fee for those over 12 years old, everyone younger is free*

*This will be a fundraiser for the El Grupo Youth Cycling. El Grupo is a non-profit youth cycling team in Tucson, Arizona that affords the opportunities of cycling to local teens who otherwise would not get the chance. Our mission is to empower youth through bicycles.

Last year’s scavenger hunt was the most fun I have had on a bike and I encourage everyone to attend. It doesn’t matter if you are fast or slow, the hunt is a blast and supports a great cause.
