Screen Shot 2013-06-20 at 8.13.37 PMA new tool created by the New York Times aims to crowdsource information — in 10 words or less — about bike routes across the country.

The online map was created last week and focuses on New York City, but allows people from across the country to add information about their own routes.

The tool is intuitive and uses red or green dots to visually see if the route is good or bad and descriptions are limited to 10 words.

One a report is submitted it must be approved by the media organization.
