Update: An adult male was struck by an east bound motorist while walking westbound on Rudasill Road near La Cañada Drive at 6 a.m. this morning. According to the Pima County Sheriff’s office the victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Investigators are still on the scene and will have more information once the investigation is completed.

  1. Gah!… this makes me sick to my stomach.  I’m frequently walking Tucson roads early in the morning with my dog, especially during the summer months.  So I mourn the passing of a fellow pedestrian.   Respect and love to the surviving family members.   

    Also, pedestrian deaths are at ridiculously highly levels now.  Thank you, TucsonVelo, for reporting on it.  

  2. Wasn’t there a hit and run incident Sunday morning involving a cyclist and a white truck/SUV near Oro Valley?  Is the cyclist ok?

  3. What is the story about this white truck. I have 2nd hand info on just such an accident. I would like to see this person hang.
