Bicyclists and art lovers purchased 88 bicycle-themed prints at the first ever Velociprints Bicycle Art Show on Saturday.

Nathan Saxton, the event organizer, said more than 400 people stopped in at Borderlands Brewery to check out the pieces and try the beer.

Saxton was pleased with turnout and said BICAS and El Grupo will get a few hundred dollars from the sales.

He said there will be more opportunities to check out the art and buy prints. The first is the showing of “With My Own Two Wheels.”

The second is the Tucson Museum of Art’s Artisan Fair.

“Tucson Museum of Art asked us to participate in their annual Holiday Artisan’s Market this weekend. So there’s one more chance to see the whole show on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the Tucson Museum of Art courtyard,” Saxton said.

We went home with three prints, what about you? Did you take any prints home?
