On Dec. 18, 500 children across Southern Arizona will be given a bicycle and you can help them do that.

This year marks the third year Bike in a Box has provided Tucson children with a bicycle. The children were selected by  youth organizations, schools, churches, and children-support agencies across Tucson.

In addition to a bike, still in the box, so the parents and guardians can put it together and learn the basic adjustments of the bike, each child will receive a helmet and a stocking.

The event takes place on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral Church court yard located at 192 South Stone Avenue.
