Pedal the Pueblo kicks off this morning with 18 organizations hooking up bike commuters with freebies and discounts all week long.

On Wednesday commuters can join Mayor Jonathan Rothschild  for a ride from the University of Arizona to the Bike to Work Commuter Station outside the Main Library.

The mayor will be leaving the flagpole at Old Main on the UA campus at 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The week ends with the Pedal the Pueblo Grand Finale at MOCA for a happy hour and the Tucson-Pima County Bicycle Advisory Committee bicycling awards.

The finale starts at 4 p.m. Friday and wraps up at 6 p.m.

There will be music, free food and drinks, door prizes and freebies.
