Anna Bees says that she is ready to replace her year-old Huffy, which has served her well, but is starting to fall apart.

She got her cruiser last January when she moved here from Minnesota to attend the Art Center Design College. The bike is an upgrade since she was riding her dad’s old bike which was much too big for her.

Anna is starting to ride more because she says it is a great way to stay active and get around Tucson. Plus, she says, it’s better than riding the bus.

She wants to try to find an older road bike that she can fix up and is hoping students leaving town will provide a few deals.

According to Anna, Tucson is better than in Minnesota because the weather is better, even in the summer because there isn’t any humidity. She also likes how many other people ride bikes here. She says it is encouraging to see so many other people out on bikes.
