PrintThe 2013 Bike Fest is coming to a close with two final events this weekend.

On Saturday a local cyclist is organizing the second PR’s Gran Fondo, which starts on Saturday at 5:30 a.m. near the Rilito River. The 96-mile ride will head to the San Pedro Valley and then return to Tucson for a barbecue.

The suggested contribution is $15. Check out all the details by downloading the ride flier.

The second is another Cyclovia Tucson. The event will take place from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday and will have a new route in midtown Tucson.

The out and back route will stretch from Keeling Desert Park near Fontana Avenue and Glenn Street to Mountain Avenue and then east on Blacklidge Drive to Dodge Boulevard north to Brandi Fenton Park.

There will be dozens of events and activities along the route including a food truck roundup, dodgeball, arts and crafts and much more. Check out the full event listing here.

Check out a video produced about the Cyclovia Tucson earlier this month.

Here are a few photos also from the first event.

  1. Well, you know what they say about “best laid plans”…turns out I have two classes beginning on the 28th after all, so I will be working instead of riding, as originally planned. Hope everyone has a great time! The more Cyclovias, the better! =)
