Tucson’s first cross race of the season hits the shores of Christopher Columbus Park this weekend.
The race will include two days of racing and feature a men and women’s citizen race, which allows cyclists without a USA Cycling license to participate in the event and get a taste for cyclocross racing.
Ben Elias, a University of Arizona cycling club member said in an email that they were working on getting an alcohol permit to bring out Dragoon Brewing for the events.
Racing starts at 8 a.m. and the last race begins at 2 p.m. both days. Christopher Columbus park is located at 4450 N Silverbell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85745
