Living Streets Alliance was one of 10 recipients of the Park Tools 2016 Community Tools Grant.

According to LSA, the group will use it to help fix kids’ bikes around the region.

As part of this grant, LSA will receive around $1,400 worth of bike repair/maintenance tools and materials to help support our Mobile Bike Repair program, serving school-age kids throughout the region as part of our Safe Routes to School Tucson program.

Here’s what is included in the tool kit.

1 – Park Tool PK-2 Professional Mechanic Tool Kit

2 – Park Tool PCS-10 Portable Repair Stands

1 – Park Tool BBB-3 Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair

“We were truly blown away by the quantity and quality of the applicants for the ten Park Tool Community Tool Grants this year. It’s great to see so many people and organizations doing amazing things in their communities to help get more people on bikes. Though we wish we could have helped more this year, we encourage those who didn’t receive a grant in 2016 to reapply next year for consideration in 2017,” remarked Eric Hawkins, Park Tool’s president/owner and chief mechanic.
