A Facebook post that made the rounds earlier this month has prompted an investigation by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

The post, which was published on Dec. 6, insinuated the poster was going to throw tacks during next year’s El Tour de Tucson.

It prompted many to wonder if he was the person who had been throwing tacks on Catalina Highway.

Deputy Ryan Roher told the Tucson-Pima County Bicycle Advisory Committee on Wednesday that the Sheriff’s Department has been alerted to the post and was investigating.

The investigation is ongoing.
