The Tucson Pima County Bicycle Advisory Committee will elect a new chairperson at their meeting on Wednesday. Current chairman Brian Beck has reached the TPCBAC term limit.

Richard Corbett and Karen Berchtold were both nominated for the post.

The term limit is eight years.

Three other positions will be filled, but each of the nominees are unopposed. Josefina Ahumada will become the vice-chairperson, Kylie Walzak will become the secretary and Steve Bressler will become the parlimentarian.

Also on the agenda is an update about the Catalina Highway trailhead, an update to the rules governing bike parking in the city of Tucson and the TPCBAC’s response to bike licensing.

The meeting is held on the second Wednesday of every month at the Himmel Park Library at 6 p.m.
