photfffoYesterday, Truman completed his first bicycle commute.

Irene had an appointment, which meant I had to take both kids with me in the morning. I dropped Luci off  and preschool and took Truman into work with me.

The ride solidified that having the right equipment can make all the difference. I’m vigilant about making eye contact with motorists and knowing what is happening around me. It’s nice that Truman is out of the elements, protected by the box and his car seat makes me feel more comfortable riding with them. It’s also a big bonus being able to see him to make sure he’s doing OK.

  1. I’m jealous, Truman. My folks didn’t put me on a bike until I was 22 months old.
