Theft description: Bike was locked to my carport on a dead end street. The lock was cut and left behind. Eight feet away was my neighbor’s unlocked bike, which is still there.
If found, it will probably be severely damaged, because the rear wheel lock must have a key in it in order to remain open.
The Kona Africa Bike is one of the best simple short-run, get around town bikes.
Maybe it’s on the res by now.
If at all possible, keep your bike(s) indoors when at home; carports only give the thieves cover in the dead of night.
Stealing a bicycle with a kiddie carrier on it is pretty low down. Remember the old days when stealing a person’s horse was a hanging offense? If the Republicans can raffle off a Glock why can’t they make stealing a bicycle a capital offense? That’s all I’m sayin’.
