The Tucson-Pima County Bicycle Advisory Committee is looking for nominees for this year’s bicycle commuter and advocate of the year.

According to an e-mail from Brian Beck, the TPCBAC chair, “The Bicycling Advocate of the Year Award will be presented to an individual, organization or agency that has worked diligently and effectively over the past year (or years) to promote bicycling as a means of transportation and/or recreation in Eastern Pima County.

The Bicycle Commuter of the Year award will be presented to an individual who resides in Eastern Pima County whose determination and dedication to using the bicycle as a means of transportation serves as a role model and inspiration for others in the community.”

If you would like to nominate someone, email Beck at coyotes@cox.net. He is asking that you include a few paragraphs explaining your nomination. He also asks that you include your contact info in case they have followup questions.

The awards will be determined by the TPCBAC executive committee and presented during the Bike to Work event during April’s Bike Fest.
