Check out the new event list and calendar system for Tucson Velo.
The new system allows anyone to submit events, which will then be moderated by me to avoid spam.
I am working with local cycling clubs to list their rides in the event calendar too.
Individuals can submit rides if they would like to organize a ride on their own.
The inspiration came from a site in Los Angeles called Midnight Ridazz, which is the go-to spot for finding a ride in L.A. I hope the event list on Tucson Velo will become the same thing.
As an example, check out the ghost bike ride I created for Saturday morning.
Other features include the ability to easily add the events to your own personal calender or share it with friends via Facebook, Twitter or email. Users can also map an event’s location, check the weather or comment on an event.
You can see upcoming events on the left sidebar of the site or check out and search all of the events by clicking calendar link at the top of the page.
It will only work if everyone participates. Submitting an event is easy — if you need assistance, email me at tucsonvelo [at ] gmail [dot] com.
