French major Michael Marascio rides his single-speed bike from his home to the University of Arizona campus every day.
He says its cheaper, faster and he gets a little exercise. The 10 minutes it takes him to get to classes is the perfect distance for his bike commute.
Michael, who says he wants to stay in school forever, likes that for the most part the Tucson streets are free of rain. However, if he could change anything about riding in Tucson, it would be the temperature. It’s just too hot he says.
