I wrote a piece a while back about BICAS and WAMO teaming up to take over the lease of the Citizen Transfer warehouse, which houses BICAS and dozens of artists.
The Tucson City Council approved their proposal today and will allow WAMO to move forward as the leaseholder.
BICAS shop coordinator Troy Neiman said he was really excited about being stable in the building for at least the next five years.
“It’s a new era,” Nieman said.
According to Nieman the process was pretty easy and there wasn’t a lot of discussion.
I’ve got a few more calls out to officials at WAMO, but in the meantime, be sure to check out TucsonBikeLawyer’s post about it.
