The Sun Rideshare Bicycle Commuter Challenge starts today.

Cyclists who log 20 one-way bike commutes during the month of April will be entered to win prizes. The grand prize is a new Linus bike. Other prizes include books and gift cards from Bookman’s, Brooklyn Pizza, Cereal Box, and Xoom Juice.

To log your commutes, go to www.884ride.org to create an account and sign in.

Click on the “Commute Calendar” to enter your rides.

Here is what the calendar looks like:

In addition to logging your commute it estimates how much money you saved and how many pounds of pollution was kept out of the environment.

Good luck to all of you who participate!

  1. I ride my bike to more places than just work. Like yesterday I rode to the library and the grocery store. Wish I could track more than just my work miles. Still it’s pretty inspiring seeing how much greenhouse gas I saved. 🙂

  2. I’m not able to commute…I work either from my home or drive a company vehicle around Southern AZ. But I am doing the 30 Days of Biking challenge and wish I could participate in this challenge too.
