The Bike Church at Granada Avenue and Davis Street is getting a facelift thanks to bicycle advocate Jean Gorman.

Gorman said via email that she, the city and her friends and family are slowly starting to make over the site to create more of a destination for cyclists.

In the last few weeks, crews have created concrete forms for the placement of memorial pavers that Gorman sells though The Brad Fund, which she started in memory of her son who was killed riding his bike on Catalina Highway.

They have also created areas fro two benches with bike racks at either end.

Next, Gorman said the area will get walkways, trees and boulders.
