Ordinary Bike Shop and Mr. Heads are teaming up to host an bike and hike event this Saturday.

Organizer Michael Lacey said he wanted to create a community event for cyclists that also offered a little challenge.

Lacey said the pace would be faster than the Tuesday Night Bike Ride, but wouldn’t be a race, either.

The plan is to meet at noon on Saturday at Mr. Heads on Fourth Avenue just north of Sixth Street. At 1 p.m. the group will ride out to Gates Pass and then hike for a bit on one of the trails out there.

Once the group is finished hiking they will return to Mr. Heads where Ordinary will provide various giveaways and bike valet. Mr. Heads is offering cyclists $1 off drinks and beer until 8 p.m. Saturday night.

Lacey said he is planning to finalize the route and other details soon. Check the Bike ‘N Hike facebook page.

  1. I assume that at least one person will stay with the bikes while folks go on the hike?
