The Sonoran Desert Mountain Bicyclists advocacy group is hosting a movie tomorrow night at Fox Theater.

Here is the description about the the movie, “Pedal Driven: A Bikeumentary” and the event itself.

Woven into a film that features the northwest’s iconic mountain bike destinations, Pedal Driven examines the shared philosophies of stewardship and sustainability from both, the perspective of the rider and land managers, and exemplifies the art and science of effective mountain bike advocacy. The evening is intended to draw attention to recent SDMB initiatives, deliver the Grant check of $50K from Ford & GOOD, and to engage the community as we continue our efforts toward making Southern AZ a top notch riding destination.

Tickets for the movie are $5. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 7. Bike valet will be available. SDMB is raffling off a dirt jump bike too.

  1. While the movie showcases a mountain bike club’s efforts to develop different features for mountain biking in national forest terrain, the message is relevant to hikers and equestrians who want to improve the trails in the forest.

There will be a bike valet and a ton of raffle prizes to downtown eateries, gear bags from Summit Hut, and the Grand Prize is a Kona Shonky dirt jump bike.  The more you buy the more you save!  $1 a ticket, or $5 gets you 7 or $10 gets you 15.  See you there.
